Manny Aleman Blog #2

 Our Professor assigned our class on some key topics that are very important and even controversial, we had 3 groups and each group was assigned 2 topics. Starting with group 1, they had Education as well as Law and order where they talked about the protest and the importance of educating the public. They had a well organized power point that showed every ones cooperation and the leader's organization. Their information was very diverse and it was put in the right places, examples being putting information that can be very sensitive when talking about the riots, and putting the statistics in places to catch the audience with the information. Overall, they did a great job. Then group 2 went up next where the talked about healthcare and immigration this one was my favorite because it talked about the healthcare system. Since it is the field I will be going into and Covid has been very impactful to the healthcare system, they showed good statistics and that's what I enjoyed about it because I tend to lean more towards the statistics than the emotional information. Group 2 had an extremely great presentation from the information about the immigration problem in the country to the healthcare system being impacted all the different media they used to link their information, Group 3 was my group where we talked about the Pandemic and Racial divide, Here we talked about how the Pandemic has affected every one in the country and how social distancing has affected the way we work, the way we go to school, the way we travel as well. We also talked about the division that is going through this country because of the death of George Floyd.We communicated our presentation through video, We were very heavy on information because our topics had a lot of controversy because of the elections. We attempted to communicate the key points of the situation that is going on. All groups had something in common, which was the goal to communicate to their audience the importance of these issues and educate the audience so people can form their opinion to make their own decisions. All groups had different ways to communicate their issues and all did succeed. Everyone had their own opinion in the back of their heads, hopefully every group was able to convey their message in a way that put everyone in a neutral place. Talking about these topics during times like this can be challenging because people can be very sensitive to these topics. But I believe every group was able to share their information without pushing limits. I think every one was able to take something away from these presentations and each group learned something from each other. Everybody deserves a round of applause for the phenomenal work.
