In the last presentation I t was good to be   able to hear about the  numerous theme presentations there were going to be for this second project.  Two separate subjects, both of which had to do  with some world problems, were the responsibility of each party.  Our professor gave each group topics that were very well thought out, where we would  actually have  to do some homework and learn  about them in order to know what we were really talking about, as well as to teach anyone who would be listening properly.  The first group was responsible for two main subjects: education  and law and order, which  also concentrated  on demonstrations and rallies.  With their introduction, the first  group certainly did  an excellent  job.  It was very coordinated and the  way the subjects were discussed was intense.  In order to give emotion to those who were listening, they used a variety of details...

For the second speech project, my classmates and I had to speak on two topics that we are currently facing in the world. Each group had different subject matters: Group one had education, and law and order. Group two had health insurance and immigration. Lastly, group three, which is the group i was in, had the pandemic and racial divide. Each of these concepts played their own part in 2020 and continue to be an issue at this very moment. It was actually a very intriguing project and our professor explained it to us in an easily understood fashion. She was precise and told us exactly what she wanted and what she expected. All of the groups did an amazing job and explained each subject effectively.  Let’s talk about each group individually. Group ones’ topics are very important today and this group knew what they were talking about. You can tell that they did their research on the material. The presentation was nicely organized too. They mostly tried using emotion to deliver their a...

My Speech professor assigned three topics to our class which was already divided into three groups. Each group member had to present at least one part of their topic. I was very excited to see what the other group came up with and how good our group was going to do.  This time, the presenting dates were mixed up. Group three which was the last one was the first group to present. That was also the group I was in. After us, group one presented, and lastly, group two. We all had very interesting topics that were assigned to us. Starting with group one, they had “Law and Order Protest-Rallies/Educations” as their assigned topic. That was a very interesting topic since what happened recently here in the United States. People started to riot in the streets and were looting stores, making protests and it looked like a battleground. Also, one funny thing I remember from group one’s presentation was that the first slide they had on said: “Our Elections Matters To Us In Our Democracy” and ...

Our Professor assigned our class on some key topics that are very important and even controversial, we had 3 groups and each group was assigned 2 topics. Starting with group 1, they had Education as well as Law and order where they talked about the protest and the importance of educating the public. They had a well organized power point that showed every ones cooperation and the leader's organization. Their information was very diverse and it was put in the right places, examples being putting information that can be very sensitive when talking about the riots, and putting the statistics in places to catch the audience with the information. Overall, they did a great job. Then group 2 went up next where the talked about healthcare and immigration this one was my favorite because it talked about the healthcare system. Since it is the field I will be going into and Covid has been very impactful to the healthcare system, they showed good statistics and that's what I enjoyed about ...

BLOG #2 For this second project I was actually really excited to be able to learn about the different theme presentations there was going to be. Each group was responsible for two different topics, both of which had to do with certain world problems. Our professor gave each group really well thought out themes, ones in which we would actually have to do some research and learn about in order to know what we were actually talking about, as well as to correctly inform those who would be listening. The first group was responsible for two great topics: Education, and Law and Order which included an emphasis on protests and rallies as well. The first group definitely did an amazing job with their presentation. It was set up very organized and the way they discussed the topics was intense. They used a range of information and also used a lot of pathos in order to provide emotion to those who were listening, which allowed everyone to view things with an open heart. Some of those who pre...

Amanda Padron Project #2

Blog #2 In this second project for my Speech class, I was extremely thrilled to find out the different theme presentations my professor was going to assign to my classmates. Each group was assigned two different topics that had to do with daily problems in the world. I really liked how into detail my professor explained the project and she never had a problem in answering any questions you had in mind about it. Let’s talk about the first group which they talked about Education and Law and Order which had to do with rallies and protest. First and foremost, their PowerPoint presentation was amazing and had lots of visuals and colors and they went into detail with everything and I honestly learned a lot from their presentation. I noticed that in their presentation they used a lot of pathos in order to get everyone’s attention emotionally and for us to connect and understand what they were talking about. Their presentation was super organized and very well explained. Something else t...
