For the second speech project, my classmates and I had to speak on two topics that we are currently facing in the world. Each group had different subject matters: Group one had education, and law and order. Group two had health insurance and immigration. Lastly, group three, which is the group i was in, had the pandemic and racial divide. Each of these concepts played their own part in 2020 and continue to be an issue at this very moment. It was actually a very intriguing project and our professor explained it to us in an easily understood fashion. She was precise and told us exactly what she wanted and what she expected. All of the groups did an amazing job and explained each subject effectively.

Let’s talk about each group individually. Group ones’ topics are very important today and this group knew what they were talking about. You can tell that they did their research on the material. The presentation was nicely organized too. They mostly tried using emotion to deliver their arguments which was pretty smart. They even included their own personal stories and experiences. One girl spoke about how she attended a Black Lives Matter protest with her best friend since her friend was very passionate about it and she cares for her friend dearly. The way they all talked about the topics really helped everyone understand. They even included a kahoot game at the end of their presentation, which i found very funny but entertaining. A plus plus from me.

Next we have group two. Group Two also did a great job with their subjects. Their topics were probably some of the most important. Health care and Immigration is heavily debated right now in the United States. They provided hard facts among with their strong opinions on the matters at hand, in a very respectful way. This country was basically founded by immigrants so it’s a very difficult matter. As they spoke, you could put yourself in their place and understand their points and see where they are coming from. Healthcare is also incredibly important. Here in the states, it’s gotten very expensive to even give birth or go to the emergency room. The group also included YouTube clips to emphasize their points which i thought was very nice. Another great project. 110 percent from me.

Last, but definitely not least, we have group three’s presentation. I personally think it’s the best one yet... Me being in it isn’t the reason. Now, both topics this group was given are very difficult to talk about due to the amount of bias everyone has but, we all pulled through and made a very professional, unbiased presentation. These two topics have played an incredibly huge role in our 2020 year. This will go in history books. The pandemic literally made this year and will be unforgettable for decades to come. 300,000 percent from me ;)

Both of these topics have brought out some of the worst in people this year and i truly hope we can all move forward with love and understanding after this year. I had fun doing this project, like the previous one. As we do these projects we learn a lot without noticing and that’s very important because knowledge is power. Due to that statement, i can’t wait for what the next project will teach me.
